The Andalusia 15-and-under soccer All-Stars traveled to Eufaula on Sat., Nov 1., and won the district championship.

 

“We got some really good play from the backside on defense,” said Andalusia coach Ken Barr. “Ethan Barton had a really nice tournament at keeper, and he is still learning the position.”

 

In the first game Andalusia played Eufaula, and beat them 5-3.

 

“Eufaula was really big across the front, and we were a bit roughed up at times, but we got some strong plays from our players.” said Barr. “We played them one other time in the season , and they came out beat us pretty good.”

 

In the second game Andalusia topped Ashford 4-1 won to help secure the district championship.

 

Kiki Wain, starting strong forward, led Andalusia with 7 goals during the tournament.

 

Andalusia will head to Opelika on Nov. 15 and 16 for the state soccer tournament.
