The Opp Bobcats’ cheer team will head to Hanceville Saturday, to compete in the 2014 class 3A AHSAA state cheerleading championship at Wallace State Community College.
The Bobcats will travel straight from Friday night’s second round football playoff game in Slocomb, where the Bobcats’ football team will take on the Slocomb Red Tops.
“We have worked hard and our goal has been working towards the 2014 3A AHSAA state cheerleading title,” Bobcats’ cheer coach Lorrie Harrison said. “However, the cheerleaders want more than anything for the football team to make history this Friday night in Slocomb, and defeat the Red Tops in the second round of the playoffs.”
The Bobcats will begin their warm ups at 10 a.m. and will compete at 10:16 a.m.
“It would be an awesome weekend if both football and cheer came home with a victory,” Harrison said.
