Thunderstorms that rolled through the area on Sunday wreaked havoc in downtown Opp.
Several power poles were snapped and an awning was ripped off a service station around 12:30 p.m., according to EMA director Susan Harris.
The power was temporarily out and traffic was closed on Cummings Avenue.
Harris said there was no structure damage, and the cause was possibly straight line winds.
Across the state, several tornado warnings were issued, and damage was also reported in other counties.
Colder temperatures are expected to make their return with temperatures falling into the upper 30s across interiro southeast Mississippi and southwest Alabama with 40s across south central Alabama and closer to the cost.
Lows are expected to fall into the 30s and 40s and will continue through the rest of the week.
