Hundreds of parents and children flocked to the Kiwanis Community Center last night to pick-up gifts donated from individuals, civic organizations and businesses throughout the community at the annual Community Christmas event. Families enjoyed singing Christmas songs such as “Away in a Manger,” “Joy to the World” and “Jingle Bells.”

The Andalusia Ballet performed segments from “The Nutcracker.” Attendees were served pizza; had the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Jolly Ole Elf; explore an Andalusia fire truck; and check out a pony courtesy of the Covington Cowgirls. Bicycles were also given away for a select number of children.
