Andalusia’s Clark Theatre is among the eight theaters in Alabama at which The Interview is being shown this week.
The film, directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, is a comedic fictional plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Plans for the film to open nationwide on Christmas Day led to Sony’s massive computer system being hacked; threats of terrorism; and the film’s cancellation But the resulting public outcry led Sony to reverse its decision and put The Interview in theaters beginning Christmas Day. The company also made an unprecedented move of making it available for online rental or purchase the day before its theatrical release.
Local showtimes are at 7 tonight, Fri., Dec. 26; at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The movie also is being shown in Birmingham, Boaz, Enterprise, Fort Payne, Greenville, Huntsville and Troy,
