Dick, as he was lovingly called, loved life. He loved baseball, hunting, fishing, water sports, motorcycles, Gantt Lake, music (most any kind) and he always had a story to tell about his interests. He also loved people and had many good memories. He loved Alabama football.
He was in military service, but his passion in life was always law enforcement. He spent many years serving on the River Falls Police Department, Dozier Police Department, Covington County Sheriff’s Department, and served longest with the Andalusia Police Department, from which he retired. He was very interesting to sit and talk with and will certainly be missed by family, friends, and neighbors, whom he loved.
