LEON WATSON

Mr. Leon Watson, 80, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., Dec. 31, 2014, at Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 2, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be one-hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Mae Virginia Watson of Andalusia; grandchildren, Stephanie (Russell) Johnson and Kimberly (Keith) Ray, all of Andalusia; great-grandchildren, Adalynne Johnson, Kayleigh Ray and Jake Jay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton and Naomi Watson and Willie and Rachel Watson, all of Andalusia; and sisters and brother-in-law, Lucille and Harold Lawrence and Mary Collins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Randall Lee Watson; daughter, Deborah Lynne Little; brother, Jack Watson; and sisters, Martha Watson and Virginia Watson.

ROSEMARY LYNN DANFORD

Mrs. Rosemary Lynn Danford, 63, of Andalusia, passed away on Tues., Dec. 30, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Sat., Jan. 3, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tim Morgan officiating. Interment will occur at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in Morrison, Ill.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, prior to services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Danford is survived by her husband, Vic Danford of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Doyce Blount of Midland City; son, Bobby Hvarven of Dothan; grandchildren, Jake, Libby, Ryleigh and Hayden Hvarven; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Joyce Uecker of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Hilda Uecker; and grandson, Cooper Hvarven.

CHESTER THOMAS LADNER

Mr. Chester Thomas Ladner, 90, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., Dec. 30, 2014, at Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Fri., Jan. 2, 2015, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Breedlove and the Rev. Wayne Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Ladner of Andalusia; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Beverly Ladner of Crestview, Fla.; his grandchildren, David (Danielle) Ladner and Jennifer (Bill) Hanley; and six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Joshua, Sarah, Jacob, Michael and Matthew.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Janie Ladner Barnett; and brother, Grady Ladner.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Home.

Pallbearers will be David Ladner, Bill Hanley, Jess McHugh, Joe Mikel, Jim Bradley and Brannan Harrison.

MATTIE CURRY WELLS

Mrs. Mattie Curry Wells, 85, of Andalusia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Mon., Dec. 29, 2014. She was a resident of the Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services were held on Wed., Dec. 31, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Helen Grissett, a life-long friend and sister in Christ, officiated, and special music by Brother Gary Holloway. Interment followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Wells is survived by her brother, Tommy Jackson of Andalusia; sisters, Voncile Lawson of Andalusia, Gercile Spears of Opp, and Eunice Dubose of St. Augustine, Fla.; her daughter, Barbara Ray of Andalusia; her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Curry of McDonough, Ga., Kenneth and Dianne Curry and Randy and Penney Curry of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Tonya Barber, Dorri Ray, Kim Ray, David Curry, Jay Curry, Anna Reeves and Jason Curry; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Lomax “Mac” Curry and Roy L. Wells; three brothers, R.D., Arthur and T.J. Jackson; and three sisters, Martha Spears, Annie Mae Barlow and Carolyn Jackson.

Pallbearers were William Blair, Brandon Ray, Hal McGhee, Clark Crates, Jason Curry and Jay Curry.

Mrs. Wells, a devoted wife and mother, also dedicated her life to walking in the footsteps of Jesus.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
