An Opp man was seriously injured in Florida early Friday morning when his motorcycle collided with a log truck.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, both a log truck and a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle were traveling in the outside lane, southbound on U.S. 29 approaching the intersection of Muscogee Road. The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Ladon Cauley, 48, of Opp, failed to see the log truck in front of him and collided with logs. The driver of the truck did not realize a collision had occurred.

Cauley was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. The FHP listed his condition as serious.
