The Enterprise Lady Wildcats knocked off the Andalusia Lady Bulldogs 57-32 Thursday night in Andalusia.

 

The Lady Bulldogs kept the game close in the first period, and only trailed 19-14 at the end of the first. Merikal McCaskill and Alexis Lawrence paced the Lady Bulldogs with 4 points each in the first period.  Aaliyah Lawrence, Alex Crittenden, and Shay Thomas each finished the first with 2 points.

 

The Lady Bulldogs continued to fight hard, shooting well in the second period, and were only down 27-22 at halftime. McCaskill had another 4 points for the Lady Bulldogs. Aaliyah and Alexis each had 2 more points to help keep the contest within reach.

 

In the third period, the full-court pressure from the Lady Wildcats took its toll on the Lady Bulldogs, and as a result the Lady Bulldogs went down 47-30. Destene Shakespeare, Thomas, Crittenden, and Alexis had 2 points each for the Lady Bulldogs, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the 20-point outpour from the Lady Wildcats.

 

The fourth period wasn’t any kinder to the Lady Bulldogs, as they only managed to get two points. Aaliyah went 2-for-2 from the free-throw line for the Bulldogs only fourth period points.

 

McCaskill and Alexis led the Lady Bulldogs with 8 points each. Aaliyah finished with 6 points. Crittenden and Thomas each had 4 points, and Shakespeare added 2 points.

 

The Lady Bulldogs with face the No. 5 ranked Straughn Lady Tigers tonight in Straughn.
