There were nine drug possession arrests made in Covington County on Tuesday, and two of those arrests were made by the Florala Police Department.

Officer Jessica Lawhorn said she and Chief Sonny Bedsole, during a routine patrol, pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation.

“I was given consent to search the vehicle, which led to the arrests of two individuals,” Lawhorn said.

During the search of the vehicle, methamphetamine and marijuana were found, and according to Bedsole, “there were numerous smoking devices found.”

Angela Leigh Frasier, 25, and Kenneth James Herrin, 30, are currently being held at the Covington County Jail on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and held on a $20,500 bond.

Lawhorn said Herrin was allegedly visiting family in Opp, and was currently headed to Louisiana.
