Maryeve Barrington Peek, 87, of Dozier passed away on Thurs., Jan. 15, 2015, at Andalusia Manor.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 18 in Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Meadows officiating.

Visitation will be today, Sat., Jan. 17, at Foreman Funeral Home from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Daniel Peek of Flomaton, Warren Peek of Babbie, Gary Lynn and Edith Peek of Pollard, and John M. and Barbara Peek of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and John Joyner of Dozier; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Wilma Barrington of Dalton, Ga., John Frank Barrington of Sun City, Ariz., and Don and Patsy Barrington of Austin, Texas; and sisters and brother-in-law, Jane Krellner of Dunnellon, Fla., and Catherine and Bill Clark of Andalusia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Janie Barrington; and husband, Robert Gaston Peek.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Liberty Church Cemetery and/or the Dozier Baptist Church Building Fund.

MAMIE RUTH LANE

Mrs. Mamie Ruth Lane, 96, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Jan. 15, 2015, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Sat., Jan. 17 , in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The Rev. Fred Karthaus will officiate.

The family will receive friends one-hour prior to services in the Keahey Funeral Home chapel.

Survivors include sons, Ronnie (Sandra) Lane of Andalusia and Jerry (Mary) Lane of Niceville, Fla.; daughter, Patricia Blanton of Andalusia; grandchildren, Jennifer Reese, Jeff Lane, Laura Lane, Jill (Steven) Prevett and Nancy (Jeremy) Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Prevett, Lane Prevett, Sarah Katherine Reese, Jack Wilson and Julianne Wilson.

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Heskew Lane; and her son-in-law, Jimmy Blanton.

Pallbearers will be Lane Prevett, Jeremy Wilson, Jeff Lane, Winston Fletcher, Nathan Riddle and Steven Prevett.

RUSHING

Leon “Burl” Rushing, 82, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., Jan. 14, 2015, in the Andalusia Regional Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sat., Jan. 17, at the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be one-hour prior to services at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Rushing of Andalusia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Corene and Bill Alcorn of Andalusia, Orene King of Pittsburg, Pa., and Betty Sue and Brook Bell of Navarre, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Rushing of Many, La., and Lawrence and Bernadine Rushing of Andalusia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Lacy Rushing; brothers, Lenord Rushing and Glady Rushing; and sisters, Mildred Prichard, Nellie and Ruby Ferguson.
