The Andalusia B-team Bulldogs knocked off the Headland Rams 49-37 Tuesday night in Andalusia.

 

The Bulldogs came out firing on all cylinders, and held a 12-10 lead after the first period of play. R.J. Drish led the Bulldogs with 4 points in the period. JaQuenten Stallworth and Adam Peek had 3 points each, and Curtis Daniels rounded out the Bulldogs’ first period with 2 points.

 

In the second period, the Rams outscored the Bulldogs 11-9 to tie the game 21-21 at halftime. Stallworth had 4 more points for the Bulldogs, and Zack Woods buried a triple from deep to help pace the Bulldogs. Drish went 2-for-2 from the free throw line in the period.

 

The Rams came out in the third period by outscoring the Bulldogs 12-11 to take a 33-32 lead into the final frame. Drish guided the Bulldogs with 6 points, and Peek sank long 3-pointer in the period.

 

Something clicked for the Bulldogs in the fourth period, and they outscored the Rams 17-4 in the final frame to secure a 49-37 victory over the Rams. Jayden Brown stepped up for the Bulldogs by scoring 6 points in the final period to help guide his team to the win. Drish and Woods each finished the fourth with 4 points.

 

Drish led the Bulldogs with 16 points, including a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Stallworth finished the night with 10 points.

 

“Still making too many mistakes for this late in the season,” Bulldogs coach Marshall Locke said. “Some have improved, and some haven’t. We just have to get everyone on the same page.”
