BETTY HURST

Mrs. Betty Hurst, 68, of Andalusia passed away unexpectedly at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., today, Wed., Jan. 21, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Billy Boles will officiate.

The family received friends Tues., Jan. 20, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Hurst Family Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Daniel Blocker of Andalusia; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Ray and Faye Kirkland of Andalusia; sister, Mary Harrison of Andalusia; and two grandchildren, Courtney Williams and Erica Blocker.

Mrs. Hurst was preceded in death by her husband, Leamon Hurst.

 

LEON GAFFORD STONE

Leon Gafford Stone, age 86, of Andalusia passed away on Sat., Jan. 17, 2015 at his residence.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Tues., Jan. 20, in Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Interment followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Voncile Boles Stone of Andalusia; children, Gary (Debbie) Stone of Houston, Texas, Ken Stone of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Billy (Peggy) Boles of Andalusia, and Susan (Drew) Cook of Pensacola, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. His first wife, Jane Knowles Stone, preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Joe Stone, Ray Stone, Charles Young, Randy Cagle, Charles Rogers, and Kim Dyess.

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to charity of choice.
