More acts added to Rattlesnake Rodeo

Three additional acts have been added to the Sun., April 12, Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo line-up.

Audio Adrenaline, John Tibbs and Finding Favour have been added to the show.

In November, the city announced that “God’s Not Dead” singers Newsboys signed to the the Sunday act at the event.

“There’s going to be a wonderful light show, as well,” Bartholomew said. “It’s going to be an awesome, exciting performance.”

The Newsboys will join a three-hour perfo with the other bands at 7 p.m., at Channell-Lee Stadium.

Audio Adrenaline is a Christian rock band that was formed in the mid 80s. The band reformed in 2012 featuring Kevin Max, formerly of DC Talk, as the lead vocalist.

John Tibbs is dubbed a rising songwriter and worship leader. He has released two EPs and a single while sharing the stage with artists such as Gungor and Tenth Avenue North. His first major label release is set for early 2015.

Finding Favour features Georgians Blake NeeSmith, Alllen Dukes, Dustin Daniels and Josh Duckworth.

The Newsboys has been one of the most popular bands in Christian music over the past 20 years.

The band currently consists of former DC Talk vocalist Michael Tait, keyboardist and bassist Jeff Frankenstein, guitarist Jody Davis and drummer Duncan Phillips.

The 2015 Rattlesnake Rodeo will also feature the main headliner of every year – the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake, as well as plenty of food and vendors.

The rodeo also includes a beauty pageant, the Rattlin’ 100 car race held at South Alabama Speedway, snake races, buck-dancing contests, children’s activities, karaoke contests, and more.

The event will kick off April 11.
