The owner of one of Andalusia’s newest businesses recommends using some of his automobile customization tools for the home.

Kel’s Audio-Tint and Detailing, located on Hwy. 29 South, has been open for about seven months.

Owner Jamie Bennett said he has 20 years of experience in the customization business since leaving the military.

“I just love cars, and making people smile,” Bennett said. “My dad and I use to do this together before he passed away, and that’s part of why I love what I do.”

Bennett offers sales and installation of stereo equipment, and numerous customization options like pin striping, window tinting and light kits. Kel’s also offers pick-up and delivery of vehicles.

Along with window tinting vehicles, Kel’s also offers window tinting on homes and businesses. Tinting home windows helps keep your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter, he said.

“I tinted every window in my house, and our electric bill went way down,” Bennett said.

Bennett plans a half-off Valentine’s Day special for anyone who orders special services for his or her valentine.

The former military man also offers discounts for all veterans, law enforcement and senior citizens.

“Vets are very important to me,” Bennett said. “Without them, we wouldn’t be here. A lot of people don’t realize how bad we (military) have had it. This is my outlet and how I can give back to other Veterans like myself. I don’t do this for the money. I do it because I love to see the smile on their faces when the job is done.”
