The Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority recorded 3.2 inches of rain in January at Yellow River in Covington County.

That’s only slightly more than the amount recorded in January of 2014, when the total was 3.16 inches.

The Choc-Pea Water Authority also has added a guage at Yellow River on Hwy. 84, but the guage has been vandalized and must be repaired.

Similar results were recorded in each of the eight counties that make up the Choc-Pea watershed area.
