2 fire departments fight fire

River Falls Fire Department on Friday put out a fire that burned approximately 4 acres near Taylor Road.

Officials said there was one abandoned vehicle that was destroyed and that the fire began from an unattended burn barrel.

Additionally, the higher wind speed blew embers from the barrel and set the grass on fire.

Nine firefighter responded from River Falls and Loango Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid due to the size of the area, officials said.
