Gregory Kane Fowler

Mr. Gregory Kane Fowler, age 62, of River Falls, died on Thurs., Feb. 5, 2015, in Andalusia Regional Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Fowler will be held today, Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Driver officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Paul and Jill Fowler and Chase Fowler both of Red Level, Ala.; special friend, Peggy Parks of River Falls; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Don Bowers of Gantt; brother, Jerry Fowler of Gantt; grandchildren, Hailey Fowler, Parker Spears, and Brodie Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Martha Fowler, and sisters, Frances Bryan and Caroline Odom.

Visitation will be Fri., Feb. 06, 2015, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Elena Anne Cavallon Blue

Elena Anne Cavallon Blue, affectionately known by family and friends as Grammy, Nini and Ellie, has left God’s mortal earth to spend eternity in Heaven. Ellie, who was born Sept. 6, 1942, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thurs., Jan. 29, 2015, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. She suffered from Parkinson’s disease and is now at peace.

Ellie was an amazing woman who touched every life she came in contact with. She was a lover of the arts and an accomplished artist herself. She had a beautiful voice and sang regularly to the delight of her friends and family. She was married in 1963 to John Daniel Blue, Jr. and was the mother of four children, John III, Robyn, Ben and Duffy.

She was born in Peabody, Mass., reared in Raymond, N.H., and graduated valedictorian of her class from St. Joseph’s Academy in South Berwick, Maine. She was the eldest of four daughters, with her parents Domenic and Anne (McGee) Cavallon and one sister, Diane (Cavallon) Witham, preceding her in death. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband, John D. Blue, Jr., Andalusia; son, John D. Blue III, of Dallas, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Corey and Robyn Elizabeth (Blue) Ramsey of San Diego, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin Christopher and Stephanie Blue of Greene, R.I.; and daughter, Deborah Marie Duffy (Blue) Folmar of Providence, R.I. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John (JD) Blue IV, Abigail Marie Gray, Jason Christopher Gray, Dallas Christopher Blue, Remington Bailey Blue, Stryker Jackson Blue, Jacob Stewart Folmar, and Damian Lee Williams; and great-grandson, Adrian Dominic Trujillo.

She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law John and Donna (Cavallon) Roy of Auburn, N.H., and sister and brother-in-law Richard and Janice (Cavallon) Langlois of Raymond, N.H.

Services are planned in April.

 

John Henry Cook

Mr. John Henry Cook, age 90, of Dozier, died on Thurs., Feb. 5, 2015, in a Bay Minette hospital. Graveside services for Mr. Cook will be held on Sun., Feb. 8, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the Rawls Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Wallace Davis officiating.

Mr. Cook was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Postmaster and a member of the Rawls Baptist Church.

Mr. Cook is survived by his five daughters, Cheryl (Wayne) Patterson of Clemson, S.C., Donna (Bob) Keller of Crestview, Fla., Sally (Keith) Duncan of Dozier, Angela Cook of Hartselle, Ala., and Dottie (Henry) McEwen of Birmingham, Ala.; his two sons, John T. (Molly Anderson) Cook of Bar Harbour, Maine, and David (LaFonda) Cook of Red Level; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ben Duncan, Jason Johns, Chris Cook, Jeremy Cook, Greyling Naughton and Danny Killingsworth.

Yvonne Davis Bozeman

Mrs. Yvonne Davis Bozeman, age 79, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., Feb. 3, 2015, in the Andalusia Hospital. Funeral services will be today, Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Josh Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Bozeman of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Mary Frances Kelley of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Scott Howell of Lynn Haven, Fla.; grandchildren, Emily Kelley and Parker Kelley; sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Jack Wilson of Millbrook; step-daughters, Gloria (Dave) Conner of Indianapolis and Bobbie Fuller of Ft. Walton Beach; and step-son, Phil Bozeman of Indianapolis.

Betty Jean Grimes Jordan

Mrs. Betty Jean Grimes Jordan, age 78, of Dozier, passed away Mon., Feb. 2, 2015, in Georgiana Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held Fri., Feb. 6, 2015, at 2 p.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Grimes officiating. Interment followed in Harmony Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Patsy and Gene Tyree of Flomaton and Rhonda Jordan of Dozier; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Cindy Jordan of Brantley and Rickey and Renee Jordan of Dozier; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and sisters, Erlene Cooper and Shirley Straight both of Montgomery.

Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by her brothers, J.C. Grimes, Daniel Grimes, and Harold Grimes.

Pallbearers will include Eddie Peek, Bobby Peek, Chris Jordan, David Wright, Drew Cooper, and Roger Grimes.
