Opp native Liz Reid said she’s painted all her life.

She works in oils, mixed media, watercolor and other media.

“My favorite media changes with my mood,” she said. “Sometimes I’m all into oils and other times I like mixed media and watercolor. I also do stained glass.”

Reid studied art at Ringling School of Art.

She’s been teaching art since the 1980s, and holds weekly classes at the LAAC.

She’s this month’s featured artist in The Gallery at the LAAC.

Reid’s work is a combination of oils and mixed media done with papers and acrylics.

Her art can be viewed Tuesday through Friday, from noon until 5:30 p.m., at the LAAC, which is located at 116 East Three Notch Street.

A reception will be held tomorrow, Sun., Feb. 8, from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
