BARBARA ANN CROSS

Barbara Ann Cross, age 70, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tues., Feb. 10, 2015, at Conecuh River Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy Boles and the Rev. Randall Jackson officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions maybe made to Comfort Care Hospice.

Mrs. Cross retired from the Covington County School System after many years as the lunch room manager at Pleasant Home School.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Trish Cross, Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Angie Parker and Lisa Teel, both of Andalusia; her sister-in-law, Cristine Teal; her brother-in-law, John “Carty” and Gloria Cross, Lafayette, La.; and her grandchildren, Colton Cross, Mia Cross, Alexander Parker, and Ryan Parker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cross.

 

SONNY F. HART

Sonny F. Hart, 69, of Florala passed away Mon., Feb. 09, 2015, while camping at Open Pond.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015, at the Liberty Hill Assembly of God. The Rev. Johnny White will officiate. Interment will follow in the North Creek Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn M. Hart of Florala; sons, Reese (Doris) Hutcheson of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Ricky (Donna) Hart of Marrero, La.; daughters, Sonya Simmons of Milbrook, Ala., and Amanda (Eddie) Pickron of Florala; his brother. Kenneth (Dee) Hart of Pearl River, La.; sisters, Shelley White of Pensacola, Sue (Leroy) White of Pensacola, and Ferrolyn (Harold) Elmore of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Todd (Meredith) Hart, Matthew (Alanna) Hart, Clint Hart, Jenna Hart, Luke Hart, Ashlee Simmons, Cody Simmons, Dalton Pickron and Haley Pickron.

Pallbearers will be Randy White, Perry White, Jason Elmore, Don Hart, Todd Hart, Matthew Hart, Leon Thompson and Garry Cannon.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

 

Inez Mock Diamond

Mrs. Inez Mock Diamond, 94, of Loango, passed away Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, in the Andalusia Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today, Wed., Feb. 11, at Old Bethesda Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Wilkinson officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lehn and Katrina Diamond of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Jamie and Jessica Jackson and Sally and Jason Lunsford of Florala; five great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, James Bowling of Mobile and many nieces and nephews.

David Sightler

David Sightler, 79, of the Stanley community, passed away Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, in a Dothan Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tues., Feb. 10, at Judson Baptist Church with the Rev. John Eiland, the Rev. John White and the Rev. Ed Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Tammy Sightler, Ricky and Gwen Sightler, and Davey and Addie Sightler, all of Andalusia; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister, Glen and Faye Sightler of Andalusia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Travis Sightler and Marie W. Sightler; an infant brother, Daniel Reed Sightler; and his wives, Glois White Sightler, Idell Norris Sightler, and Joyce Scofield Sightler.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Civitan Club.

Those serving as pallbearers were Joshua Sightler, David Weaver, Mike Wambles, Royce Sightler, Shannon Bryant, Hayley Morris, and Danny Elmore.

Mr. Edward “Eddie” Diah Cooper, 57, of Opp, passed away Mon., Feb. 9, 2015, at his residence.

A memorial will be held at 6 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015, at the Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Tanja Cooper of Birmingham; special friend, Sondra Phillips; mother, Ouida Adams; son, Edward Diah Howard; daughters, Veco (Brian) Cooper Rouse, Gigi Hope Cooper, and Amanda Slay; brothers, Richard (Donna) Cooper and Early Dan Cooper, Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth ( John ) Pattillo and Lavona Missildine; and two grandchildren.

 

Bettye Foshee Keller

Mrs. Bettye Foshee Keller, 83, of Red Level, passed away Sun., Feb. 8, 2015, in Mobile.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 12, at Longbranch Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Crowley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Lanham of California; a son-in-law, Mike Grimes of Rose Hill; her grandchildren, John Lanham, Ben Lanham, Alexa Lanham, Beth Hobbie, and Hunter Grimes; and many great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Keller; two daughters, Libby Lanham and Toni Grimes; and two brothers, Horace Foshee and Dink Foshee.
