If you’re a business in Opp and you haven’t paid your business license fee yet, you’re late.

Beginning Feb. 1, a 15 percent fee was added to the license tax, through Feb. 28.

Those not paid after that will incur at 30 percent penalty.

City Clerk Connie Smith said she has issued 830 licenses so far, but typically issues about 1,200 each year.

Smith said the city accepts check and cash payments.
