The undefeated Andalusia City League Thunder basketball team continued their streak with a 30-18 victory over the visiting Elba squad Monday night.

 

The Thunder came out strong in the opening period, and a tenacious defense put them up 4-2 at the end of the first period. Baskets from Burnette and Sims gave the Thunder an early lead over Elba.

 

McClain got the Thunder rolling in the second period with 8 points. Morrisette added 3 points. The stout defense continued for the Thunder, and they led 15-2 at halftime.

 

The Thunder remained out front in the third period despite being outscored 10-8 by Elba. McClain paced the Thunder in the period with 4 points. Kilpatrick and Morrisette each finished the third period with 2 points to give the Thunder a 23-12 lead at the end of the third period.

 

The Thunder held of the second half attack, and outscored Elba 7-6 in the final period. Burnette flashed his range with a 3-ball. Morrisette and Sims knocked down 2 points each to give the Thunder a 30-18 win over Elba.

 

McClain led the Thunder with 12 points. Morrisette finished with 7 points. Burnette tallied 5 points. Sims totaled 4 points, and Kilpatrick rounded the scoring out with 2 points.
