Local events on tap today include:

• St. Mary’s Mardi Gras 5K Run and Walk, 9 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. A fun run will be at 10 a.m. Proceeds benefit the church’s rice and beans ministry. Cost is $25 for the 5K, and $10 for the fun run.

• Andalusia Classics and Streetrods spring car show, 8 a.m., Kiwanis Community Center. Entry fee is three cans of food per car or adult entry. Children are admitted free with an adult. Canned goods and donations raised will go to benefit the local food bank.

• Christ the King Catholic Church’s annual Italian Dinner, 4 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Cost is $5 for children ages 2-12, and $9 for adult plates. This year’s menu includes a choice of lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs, homemade bread, Italian salad and pizelle. Proceeds go to benefit the church’s youth group.
