Brian Seymore, who led Andalusia to five straight appearances in the Class 4A state playoffs, has been recommended as Mary Montgomery High School’s new football coach, pending the approval of the Mobile County school board, the Call News in Cironelle reported Monday.

Mary Montgomery is the ninth-largest school in the state with 1,427 students as of the 2014-16 classification.

The Mobile County school board has a workshop scheduled for Thursday and a regular meeting on Feb. 23.
