Christopher Scott and Brittany Hoffman think the calendar was on their side this year.

The couple, who had been together for two years, were married at Hickory Ridge Lodge on Saturday, which happened to be Valentine’s Day.

“My parents got married on Feb. 15 and his got married on Feb. 10,” she said. “This fell right in the middle. Plus, it’s the only Saturday Valentine’s Day until 2026, so it was perfect.”

Christopher, who is from Georgiana, works at Coastal Forest Products. Brittany, who is from Red Level, is a pharmacy tech at CVS. When they return from a honeymoon cruise, the newlyweds plan to make their home in McKenzie.
