A little of this and a little of that – that’s what Andalusia’s newest thrift store The Treasure Box has to offer.
The business, located on Stanley Avenue near Andalusia Full Gospel Tabernacle, opened last week.
Owner Eva Stringer said she has a few antiques for sale, children’s items, clothing for children, men and women, and dishes.
“Really, there’s a little bit of everything to choose from,” she said.
Stringer, who is from Brantley, said she has been looking for a spot to rent for a long time for her business.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” she said. “And the price was right for this location.”
Stringer describes herself as artsy, and said she’s had items at similar shops and has worked at another shop before.
She also has published her own cookbook, which is for sale at the business for $12.
“I don’t want to get rich,” she said. “I think I’m helping people. They can get things on resale for a lot cheaper than buying it.
The business is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
