Parker, King to exchange vows
Mr. and Mrs. Chris (Cathy) Parker of Kinston and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce (Mellisa) King of Andalusia, are pleased to announce the marriage of their children, Emily Parker and Dustin King.
Miss Parker is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John (Ann) Parker of Kinston, and Ms. Carmaletta Hawthorne and the late Mr. William Hawthorne of Opp.
She is graduate of LBW Community College with an associate of science degree. She is presently employed at Opp Family Medicine.
Mr. King is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Rickey (Linda) Willis of Andalusia, and Ms. Reda Butler of Andalusia, and the late Mr. James Hosea Hudson and Mr. Arthur King.
He is a graduate of Straughn High School and is currently employed with Ensco PLC.
The wedding will be April 4 at 4 p.m. at the Farmers Market in Andalusia with a reception to follow.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
Carpenter, Cope plan April wedding
Ms. Julie Anderson Carpenter and Mr. Michael Harold Carpenter of Atlanta, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Paige Elizabeth, to Anthony Preston Cope. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anthony Cope of Auburn.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Ms. Carmel Schneider and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Warren Carpenter of Baton Rouge, La. Paige is a graduate of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, and Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. While at Auburn, Paige was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority as well as Auburn University’s Raymond J. Harbert College of Business Executive Society. She was an advocate for Auburn University Athletics as a Tigerette in 2008 and a three-year member of the Women’s Club Lacrosse team. After spending two years in Atlanta with Piedmont Healthcare, she moved to Dallas and is currently working on the Institutional Wealth Management team at Bank of Texas in Dallas, Texas.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hybart Cammack, Sr. and Mr. Charles Preston Cope and the late Mary Ann Cope, of Andalusia. Preston is a graduate of Auburn High School and Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in building construction. While at Auburn, Preston was an active member of Sigma Nu fraternity, serving as social chairman in 2008.
Preston served as vice president of the Auburn AGC Student Chapter and was a three-time member of Auburn building science construction competition teams.
Preston was honored by the College of Architecture, Design and Construction as the 2010 BSCI Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Building Construction. He is currently employed as a project manager with Brasfield & Gorrie in Dallas, Texas.
An April 2015 wedding is planned at Water Oak Manor in Auburn.
Jowers, Riley to unite March 21
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jowers are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Natasha Marie Jowers, to Joseph Perry Riley, son of Joan Riley of Montgomery.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Opp High School and is employed with MedComp Laboratories.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Lee High School and is employed with the State of Alabama.
The wedding will take place March 21, at 6 p.m., at Hopewell Baptist Church in Andalusia.
All friends and family are invited to attend.
Jackon, Bishop wed
Jason and Kim Thomas and Greg and Stacey Jackson are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Haley Jackson, to Michael Bishop, the son of Duana Bishop and Paul Jimmerson and Frank Bishop and Mary Warholic.
Miss Jackson is the granddaughter of John and Debra Rhodus and Joe and Annie Jackson. Haley is the great granddaughter of June Moore and the late Don L. Moore.
She is a graduate of Straughn High School and is currently employed at Cardinal Dental in Enterprise.
Mr. Bishop is the grandson of the late Duane and Margaret Fletcher and the late Frank Bishop Sr. and Ms. Dorri Mae Bishop.
He is a graduate of Straughn High School and Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy and is currently employed with the Florala Police Department.
The wedding was held Feb. 28. at the Farmers Market with a reception to follow.
The couple will reside in Andalusia with their daughter, Olivia.
