Southern Miss musicians to perform concert here

The Andalusia Chamber Music Society presents Accento Trio in concert on April 10, 2015, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on East Three Notch Street in Andalusia, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
“This trio features flute, voice, and piano for a wonderful evening of chamber music, followed by a reception with the performers in the fellowship hall,” said Dr. Herb Riedel, ACMS co-founder.
Performers include Brazilian flutist Danilo Mezzadri, soprano Susan Ruggiero, and pianist Elizabeth Moak, all faculty members at The University of Southern Mississippi.
Mezzadri has won several competitions, such as the International Porto Alegre Symphonic Orchestra Young Instrumentalist Competition and the Brazilian International Flute Association Competition. His performances have been broadcast by Rede Vida Television in Brazil and by National Public Radio in the United States.
Ruggiero is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, including being a two-time Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions District Winner, earning a first-place award in Shreveport Opera’s Singer of the Year Competition. and the Mozart Award in the National Orpheus Vocal Competition. She has performed throughout the United States, in South America, and in Europe.
Moak is a winner of the Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition and several national competitions, including the National Federation of Music Clubs Biennial Auditions. In addition to honors for her solo playing, she has received awards for her collaborative work from the Music Academy of the West and Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University. She has performed extensively in the United States and Europe.
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for students, and are available at LBW Community College president’s office in Andalusia, Harold’s Furniture, or at the door.
