Dee Gantt got it done at the plate, and on the mound in the Straughn Lady Tigers 4-1 victory over Goshen Saturday.

Gantt picked up the win on the mound for the Lady Tigers, and hit a two-run homer in the fourth.

Katelyn Kinsaul got the night started off with a lead-off single, and came around to score two batters later when Jacie Williamson reached on a one-out error.

Gantt retired the Lady Eagles in order in the bottom of the first.

In the bottom of the second inning, the Lady Eagles had runners on first and second with two outs, but Gantt ended the inning with a strikeout.

Williamson had the Lady Tigers next hit in the top of the third with a two-out double, but they couldn’t bring her around to score.

Paige Taylor led off the top of the fourth with a double to left field.

Gantt stepped in the box, and after taking the first pitch for a ball she crushed the next pitch of the center field fence for a two-run home run to put the Lady Tigers up 3-1.

The Lady Tigers added one more run when Molly Stewart singled to drive in Colby Adams from second.

The Lady Tigers will be back in action tonight at 5:30 p.m., when the Ashford Yellow Jackets come to town for an area softball contest.
