Terry and Stacey Hughes of Dozier were the lucky winners of a 2004 Tahoe at Covington Electric Cooperative’s annual meeting Thursday night.

Terry Hughes said his wife didn’t believe him when he called to tell her.

He said the couple has two sons in college and a daughter in college. Both parents work full time, and have part-time jobs to support their family, he said.

Who’ll get to drive it?

“My wife,” he said quickly. “It’ll be hers.”

Mary Lynn Jackson of Opp won the trailer given away by the cooperative.

CEC general manager Ed Short estimated more than 3,000 attended the meeting.
