Brooks Rabren shot a 70 to lead to the Straughn Tigers to victory Thursday at Evans Barnes Golf Course with a team score of 326.

Andalusia finished second with a score of 331, and Opp finished third with a score of 380.

Austin Nolen shot an 83, Teagan Compton shot 86, Johnathan Smith finished with a score of 87 and Alex Compton rounded out the top five for the Tigers with an 89.

“We had a bit of a let down from the Troy tournament where we shot really well,” Tigers’ coach Mike Kelley said. “But it was still a win and that is what counts. Lately, all of our let downs have been losses. Brooks had a great round, and pretty much had it locked up on the front nine. The younger guys are starting to come along at the right time.”

The Tigers will travel to Elba for a tournament on Tuesday.
