Runners registering after the Monday’s deadline will be not be guaranteed a T-shirt, and the race fee will be $25.

Registration is available online at www.active.com.

There will be several divisions for different age groups, and the top three from each group will be given awards. There will also be awards for the top overall runners and walkers.

The 5K will benefit a mission trip to Haiti that members of several local churches will be going on in June.

“This isn’t just people from First Baptist,” Race Coordinator Eric Searcy said. “We have 19 people from six different local churches that are a part of the team going down to Haiti.”

Mission team members will be in Haiti from June 13-20, and will be working with the Children’s Hope Orphanage.

Searcy said they have around 43 sponsors for the event, and want to get as many runners involved as possible.

“We have been very blessed with the number of sponsors that are supporting us,” Searcy said. “And now we just need to get as many runners as we can to come out and participate.”
