Straughn senior Brice Scott made it official Wednesday morning when he signed his letter of intent to play basketball next season for the LBWCC Saints.

Scott enjoyed a strong senior season, in which he helped lead the Straughn Tigers to the AHSAA Class 4A Final Four in Birmingham.

Scott led the Tigers to Final Four with an impressive effort in the Regional championship game against the Saint James Trojans. Scott racked up 27 points in Tigers’ win over the Trojans, and Scott said it was his most memorable game of his high school career.

“When we won the Saint James game that was a just a great feeling knowing we were going to state,” Scott said.

Improving his game at the next level is one thing that Scott is looking forward to doing while at LBWCC, and he is ready for the challenge.

Scott said he has a few things to work on improving, but said he looks forward to learning from a coach like Ricky Knight.
