The Opp Lady Bobcats are one win away from a birth into the 3A state tournament after defeating Pike County 10-0, and Wicksburg 5-0 in the AHSAA 3A South Regional tournament in Gulf Shores on Thursday.

Opp took an early lead in the top of the first and never looked back.

Tori Reisnour scored the first run when Courtney Chatham singled.

Paige Johnson put the Lady Bobcats up 2-0 with a single in the top of the first.

Johnson drove in the Ariyon Hightower in the top of the fifth to give the Lady Bobcats a 4-0 edge.

Hightower drove in Morgan Pierce, who pinch ran for Chatham, with a single in the top of the seventh to give the Lady Bobcats a 5-0 lead.

Thhe Lady Bobcat pitchers, Anna Harrelson, Katelynn Schively and Chatham have yet to give up a run in the playoffs.
