Ritzel selected to play in All-Star softball game
Florala’s Lily Ritzel was chosen to play on the South team in the 2015 North-South All-Star softball game, as announced by the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association (AHSADCA) on Thursday.
Ritzel joins 17 other juniors from around the southern portion of the state to play in the game on Tues., July 21, at Lagoon Park, as a part of the 19th annual Alabama All-Star Sports Week.
The teams were chosen from nominations submitted by high school coaches from across the state to participate at the 19th annual AHSAA Summer Conference and AHSADCA All-Star Games competition in Montgomery July 20-25, according to an announcement by Alvin Briggs, Director of the (AHSADCA).
