Calling all budding artists, the Lower Alabama Arts Coalition will hold a summer art and science camp.

The camp is for rising second through fifth graders.

Sheila Rhea of the LAAC said the camp is limited to the first 15 students who sign up.

The camp will run June 9-12.

Cost will be $50 for the week and a $10 nonrefundable deposit must be paid when registering.

Rhea said the organization is excited about the children’s art camp.

“It’s going to be a fun time,” she said.

Across the county, in Opp, the Opp Cultural Arts Council will hold two different art camps.

The first will be June 22-26, with three class times.

• Four-year-olds to first grade: 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.;

• Second grade to fourth grade: 10:30 a.m. until noon;

• Fifth grade to eighth grade: 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

A second class will run July 13-17, with the same age divisions and times.

Cost for the OCAC camp will be $75 for members and $100 for non-members.

Class size will be limited to the first 12 paid per class.
