Youth basketball camp held in Florala

Florala will be hosting its Youth Basketball Summer Camp for students in grades 1-8 on June 1-5 at the Florala High School gymnasium.

The camp will run from 8 a.m. to noon each day.

Wildcats’ head coach Troy Stewart will be running the camp, and encourages young players who are interested in basketball to come out and participate.

Stewart said the camp would introduce the boys and girls to the game of basketball and offer instruction by members of the Florala High School basketball team.

The reason for the camp is to give the boys and girls the opportunity to learn a lifetime sport, and to give them a chance to participate on a team, Stewart said.

Cost for the camp will be $35, and each camper will receive a T-shirt and prize.

There will be concessions available for purchase.

Forms may be picked up at the office at Florala High School. For more information contact Stewart at 334-858-3765.
