Drug Task Force Agents ended a two-month long investigation Tuesday and took an alleged drug dealer off the streets.
DTF Agent Greg Jackson told the Star-News that agents arrested Howard Eugene Montgomery Sr., who had been selling hydrocodone.
“Agents have been purchasing controlled substances from him during the last two months,” Jackson said. “Agents were able to obtain video and audio purchases from Montgomery on several occasions in the Andalusia area.”
He was charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance and is being held in the Covington County Jail on a $450,000 bond.
Jackson said that Montgomery has no priors.
Distribution of a controlled substance is a Class B felony.
If convicted, Montgomery faces a sentence of no less than two years and no more than 20 years for each charge.
