Juvenile arrested in 2nd Cedar Creek Merchandise burglary

After the second burglary in three months, and more than a month of searching for the burglar, Andalusia Police arrested a 14-year-old who is believed to be responsible for the second burglary at Cedar Creek Merchandise.

The second burglary occurred around 2 a.m., on May 3, cameras captured a male breaking glass out of a small window in front of the store, disabling one of the security cameras, entering the business and taking numerous swords and daggers from the business.

APD Lt. Barney Tyree said information provided from an anonymous source led to the recovery of all the stolen items.

The business was also broken into on Feb. 18, when two male juveniles broke glass and took a large quantity of items.

Some of the stolen items were recovered and those juveniles were also arrested.
