JAMES D. GRAY

Mr. James D. Gray, 75, of Andalusia, passed away on Sun., June 21, 2015, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Mr. Gray was born in Geneva County, was a former resident of Mexia, Ala., and had lived in Andalusia for the past three years. Mr. Gray graduated from Opp High School and attended McArthur Tech (now LBW College). He attended Zion Hill Baptist Church in Andalusia.

Mr. Gray owned and operated retail clothing stores in Monroeville and Andalusia for many years. Prior to retirement, he worked with Alabama River Pulp as a security captain. Mr. Gray served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reuben and Erie Mae Floyd; his parents, T.B. and Evie Mae Gray; his stepmother, Lillian Gray; his wife, Becky Conner Gray; his brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Nellie) Davis; and his grandchild, Tyler.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Hildreth of Andalusia; his son, David Johnson and wife, Tina; brothers, the Rev. Robert (Voncile) Davis, Jack D. (the late Faye) Davis, Wayne (Dianne) Gray and Randall (Gale) Gray; sisters, Faye Gray (Sam) Nowlin and Floree Gray (James) Nowlin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David (Grace) Selman, Bobby (Sherry) Conner and Ginger (the late Gilbert) Conner; seven grandchildren, Angel Hildreth, Jamie, David, Jr., Anthony, Kevin, Cody and Brandon; several nieces, nephews and cousins; an aunt, Louise Floyd Robins; and a dear friend, Ann Perdew.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Wed., June 24, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Tues., June 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

CAROL CAGLE JACOBS

Mrs. Carol Cagle Jacobs, 65, of Andalusia, passed away on Fri., June 19, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral services were held on Mon., June 22, 2015, at First Baptist Church with Brother Fred Karthaus and Brother Cecil Sanders officiating. Interment followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Jacobs of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Wade Armstrong of Headland; son, Ryan Jacobs of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Madeline Armstrong and Evan Armstrong of Headland; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Tracy Cagle of Andalusia; sister, Stephanie Bovender of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

ANNIE JOYCE BASS

Mrs. Annie Joyce Bass, 76, of Andalusia, passed away on Mon., June 22, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow, Wed., June 24, 2015, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joey Jackson and Brother Rodger Mims officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Hill Freewill Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Bass of Andalusia; her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Treva Bass of Andalusia, Benny and Marie Bass of Tennessee, Royce and Tammi Bass, and Lynn and Rhonda Bass of Andalusia; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Gerry Russell of Andalusia; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sister-in-law, David and Carolyn Morris and Emmett Morris of Andalusia; three sisters and brother-in-law, Melba Woodall of Troy, Kathleen and Reuben Diamond of Andalusia, and Carolyn McDuffie of Mobile.

Mrs. Bass is preceded in death by her daughter, Vivian Bass; and a brother, Darrell Morris.

Mrs. Angela Faye Patterson Sutton, 54, of Andalusia, passed away on Thurs., June 18, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Tues., June 23, 2015, at Northside Baptist Church with Brother Ray Miles officiating.

She is survived by a husband, Tommy Sutton of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Katrina Sutton and Andy Harris of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jessica Sutton of Andalusia; mother, Jo Sasser; four grandchildren, Mary Kate Harris, Melody Harris, Haley Sutton and Lee Jay Johnson; and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jimmy Eiland of Andalusia.
