EARNEST RILEY GOOLSBY

Mr. Earnest Riley Goolsby, 90, of Opp, died on Tues., June 30, 2015, at his residence.

A graveside service for Mr. Goolsby will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Thurs., July 2, 2015, at Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens in Opp with Bro. Greg Cotter officiating. There will be no visitation.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Doug Baughman, Charles Cobb, Jerry Goodson, Tim Goolsby, Donnie Herring, Wayne Holmes and Chris Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Harmony Baptist Church.

Mr. Goolsby is survived by his wife, Mary Syble Goolsby; daughter and son-in-law, Julia (Raymond) Holmes; brother, Johnnie (Glenda) Goolsby; sister, Opal (Clyde) Sasser; grandchildren, Ben (Jenna Stimely) Blocker and Amy Holmes (Chris) Blocker; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson and Lincoln Blocker; nephews, Jerry Goodson and John Riley Goolsby; and nieces, Donna Baughman and Cassondra Goolsby. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dianna Blocker; grandson, Jason Blocker; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Ralph Goodson.
