EVELENE HOWARD

Evelene Howard, 86, of Grimsley, Tenn., died on Sun., July 5, 2015, at her home.

Funeral services were held on Wed., July 8, 2015, at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Springs Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Terry Howard and late wife, Ramona, of Andalusia, Cathy (Chuck) Stevens of Old Hickory, Tenn., Jimmy (Tiffany) Howard of Dozier and Larry (Amy) Howard of Grimsley; 13 grandchildren, Bridget, Ashley, Lauren, Elizabeth, Mandy, Emily, Chloe, Ramona, Zach, Jonathan, Broderick, Keith and Allen; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lorene Davis of Andalusia and Irene Wells of Grimsley.

She is preceded in death by husband, Brodious Howard; parents, John Atkinson and Bertha (Stowers) Atkinson; granddaughter, Connie Ryals; great-grandson, Aaron Goggins; sister, Geneva Smith; and brothers, Ray Atkinson, John Atkinson Jr., Edgar Atkinson and Lester Atkinson.

Pallbearers were David Clark Jr., Austin Clark, John Hyder, D.J. Davis, Reggie Davis and Josh Swallows. Honorary pallbearers were Jonathan Howard, Broderick Howard, Keith Beaty, Zach Howard and Mike Gelinas.

Jennings Funeral Homes was in charge of the arrangements.

JEWELL DORRILL

Mrs. Jewel Dorrill, 81, of Opp, passed away on Mon., July 6, 2015, in the Opp Hospital.

Funeral services were held on Wed., July 8, 2015, at New Hope Baptist Church. Bro. Gary Miller officiated. Interment followed in the New Hope Baptist Church cemetery. Keahey Funeral Home directed.

Survivors include sons, Billy Phillips of Opp, Rickey Phillips of Florala, Tim (Linda) Phillips of Opp and Danny (Dawn) Dorrill of Opp; daughters, Pansey Wilson Modlin of Opp and Gail (Tracy) Huckabaa of Opp; sister, Mae (Jack) Gillman of Florala; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Dorrill is preceded in death her parents; daughter, Twanna Tina Coon; and her granddaughter, Beth Wilson.

FRANCES BURGANS

Frances Burgans, of Andalusia, died on Wed., July 8, 2015, at her residence.
