The Modifieds of Mayhem tour made its first stop at South Alabama Speedway Saturday night for a 50-lap feature race. While Korey Ruble dominated the event, it was Donald Crocker in Bondy’s Enterprise Toyota-Scion Victory Lane.

Donnie Hamrac turned the quick lap in qualifying with a time of 15.851. Inversion put Ryan Redmon and Ruble on the front row. Ruble blasted out front at the drop of the green flag, and sped away from the field. The only thing that kept the field close to Ruble was three caution periods. Ryan Paul and Hamrac moved through the field to move into second and third, but well behind Ruble. Even after the cautions, Ruble pulled away from his competition.

Crocker came from the eighth starting spot, moving into third after a lap 17 caution period. Crocker moved inside of Paul on lap 33 to take second. Ruble continued to lead and was cruising toward his first win in the new series. However, as he headed to the line to complete lap 43, Ruble’s car slowed and he headed to the pits with a broken rear end. Crocker took over the lead and led the final seven laps to take the win. Hamrac worked his way past Paul for second with four laps to go. Lance Blacker was fourth, followed by Redmon.

Corbitt Mosely led flag to flag to take the win in the Super Stock Feature. Mosely grabbed the lead from the outside pole and cruised to the win. Jamie Ater kept Mosely in his sights, although Mosely enjoyed a comfortable lead for much of the race. Charlie Skipper, Jr. finished third with Kenny Parker fourth and Ken Pettis fifth.

Gary Davis survived an early race battle with Daniel Parker and Johnny Otto to win the Street Stock Feature. Although Davis led every lap, Otto and Parker were all over him early in the race. Davis eventually pulled away to take the win. The battle continued between Otto and Parker with the pair swapping positions over the last half of the race. Otto won the battle in the end. Travis Slawson came across the line fourth with Todd Valdez fifth. In post race inspection, Parker was too low and was disqualified, moving Slawson to third, Valdez to fourth, and Daniel Davis to fifth.

In the Roadrunner Feature, Jason Kendrick took the lead on lap five and held off a last lap run by Jake Daniels to take the win. David Davis led the first lap with Michael Hurst taking the lead on lap two. Hurst led the next three laps before Kendrick took over after a lap five restart. While Kendrick was easing away from the field, Daniels had to work his way through some tough competition. He finally worked his way into second with five laps to go. Finally clear, Daniels began cutting into Kendrick’s lead. His only shot at the lead was coming off turn for heading to the checkers. Daniels came up a fender short as Kendrick received the checkers. Tim Peters came from the eleventh starting spot to finish third. Hurst was fourth with Mike Wolfe fifth.

In the Coyote Feature, Daniel Thompson came from the tenth starting spot to take the win. Jonathan Johnson led the first nine laps with David Williams taking over on lap 11. Williams led for four laps with Thompson taking over on lap 14. Thompson sped away from the field after taking the lead. Joseph Chandler finished second with Williams third. Wesley Goleman and James Faulk rounded out the top five.

Jared Howell took the win in an exciting Mini Sportsman Feature after battling with Daniel Parker and Kaleb Howell. Page Fredrickson led the first lap with Terry Brown leading the next two. Jared Howell took the lead on the fourth circuit, but Parker and Kaleb Howell joined him at the front of the pack to battle for the win. Parker took the lead on lap 15, but fell off the pace two laps later. Kaleb Howell slipped in turn two and lost momentum and Jared Howell sped away to take the win. Kaleb Howell held on to second, followed by Brown, randy Henderson, and Aaron Wolfe.
