McCalman chosen Covington County DYW

Elizabeth McCalman was named Covington County’s Distinguished Young Woman Saturday night.
Elizabeth, the daughter of David and Stacy McCalman, also won the fitness and talent categories, as well as a scholastic award from Troy University.

Caroline Andrews was first alternate. Caroline also won the Be Your Best Self Award and a Troy University scholastic award.

Kayla Mitchell won the scholastic category of DYW, and a Troy University Millenium Scholastic Award, presented to participants who have a 32 or higher on the ACT and a minimum 3.75 GPA. The award incudes full tuition, plus room and board.
