Auction includes football tickets, hunting, cigars

The Andalusia Ballet’s annual auction fundraiser, “Evening in Andalucia,” is set for this Sat., Aug. 22.

The event, which features live and silent auctions, will have a Spanish flare, Andalusia Ballet founder Meryane Martin Murphy said.

Supporters will be greeted with a glass of sangria or fruited water, and Jeff Sellers will entertain. A tapas menu, featuring several courses of “small plates” will be served.

Supporters of the arts will have the opportunity to bid on vacation and football packages, as well as luxury items, including:

• Hallelujah House (one week beach stay)

• Tickets to the Auburn/Ole Miss football game

• A Nick Saban autographed football

• Vicki Popwell Portrait package

• John Harbuck knife

• Jewelry from Christopher’s

• Braces from Three Notch Orthodontics

• Elan pageant package, complete with coaching sessions by Bill Alverson, a gift certificate to Elan, as well as a manicure, spray tan and hair and make-up session.

• A four-man, half-day quail hunt.

• A Henry Golden Boy Lever-Action .22 Rifle

• A custom John Harbuck knife

• A private hibachi dinner for eight

There also will be a silent auction that includes:

• Stock the bar

• Cigars

• Pet portrait

• Sushi boat

• Utopia Salon and Coach sunglass package

• Susan Gantt’s world famous cheesecake

• Town and Country dancewear and private dance classes package

• Soap Lady soap basket

• Pat Dye Japanese Maple.

Tickets are $50 per person. The auction is set for 7 p.m. at the Church Street Cultural Arts Centre.
