Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is looking for new members.

Organizer Stacy Diamond said the group’s first meeting will be Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The nondenominational community group meets twice a month and gives mothers and their children an opportunity to interact with other mothers and children.

Diamond said they are changing things up a bit this year and will have programs such as cooking demonstrations, yoga, a pediatric dentist and pediatrician.

“We usually have around 12-15 regulars,” she said. “And 18-20 children.”

On Friday, the organization held an open house to give potential MOPS an opportunity to see the venue at First Presbyterian Church.

The older children also participate in the storytime at the Andalusia Public Library.
