Vegetarian cooking class set

LBWCC is offering a four-week class in vegetarian cooking, and the good news is, students can enjoy the fruits of their labors.

LBWCC President Dr. Herb Riedel, a practicing vegetarian, will teach the class, which is two hours each week. The class will be taught in the school’s culinary arts facility on the Andalusia campus.

The class focus will be on eating a balanced, health-promoting diet, and includes “delicious, easy to make meals.”

Menus include: Stir-fry vegetables; Mediterranean food;

roasted vegetables; and Indian food.

The class begins Thurs., Sept. 24, and meets on Thursdays through Oct. 15, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The cost is $65 per person for the four-week series.
