This weekend will be a great time to bargain hunt in the Andalusia area.

On Saturday, a Bible study group will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. until at 18588 George Mims Road in Andalusia (five miles down Antioch Road).

The event is planned in honor of childhood cancer month, and will benefit the Megan Kelley Smiles Foundation, which supports young adults with cancer in the greater Andalusia area.

A benefit yard sale also is planned at Bethany Baptist this Saturday, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m., to help the family of Bailey Byrd with medical expenses. Ms. Byrd is an ovarian cancer survivor.

The event is set in the Family Life Center of Bethany Baptist Church. Organizers also are accepting contributions, beginning today, Thurs., Sept. 10, at the family life center.
