The Andalusia City Council on Tuesday passed a continuing budget resolution, extending the deadline for approving a budget for the new fiscal year.

Mayor Earl Johnson said several council members and the city clerk have been working on the budget, which he expects will be ready by the first meeting in October, set for Oct. 6.
