It’s Andalusia versus Straughn week at the local middle schools and one local restaurant is giving back to the two schools, but the community’s help is needed.

Surly Mermaid Deli, located on the court square, will be open extra hours Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The event started yesterday and will go through 3 p.m., on Sept. 24.

The school with the most votes will win the contest.

The restaurant will donate $1 per vote made for the winning school during the week.

The winning school will be announced at the game next Thursday.
